Two 3 minute Stories

The Little Old Man That Dreamed He Could Fly

Nothing catches the heart of the young and old like a dream that has visited us in the night, of "flying". I actually had this wonderful flying dream on a Sunday morning, during one of Rick Ross's sermons. It was so beautiful, and then the lady next to me woke me up. I have hated church ever since. Nothing is like "a dream of flight." Please enjoy it, and remember if you ever have 3 flying dreams you get one free.

Magpie and His Blackberry Pie

The blackberry pie story is another one of my favorites because it is about my Nebraska born mother Ruby Schmidt, that came West to Morton, Washington 4 years before I was born and married a logger named Owen Amondson (Red, they called him). My mother did not care for the mountains, and missed the plains of her native land and the big city of Seattle. But every year she would pick these wonderful blackberries near Mt. Rainier and for a moment she would forgot other places and then eat a real wild mountain blackberry pie. My mother Ruby is 85 years old and still runs a chain saw, still picks blackberries and still drives. Not all will be able to eat a real wild mountain blackberry pie but if by chance you do, count yourself greater than kings and queens. Enjoy this story.
